If you are looking for a recipe that is easy and quick to prepare, look no further than our version of Shrimp Fried Rice. Our busy schedules sometimes don’t allow us to spend much time in the kitchen. But for this recipe, you will only need a few minutes of your time and few ingredients; we used left over rice, some veggies and shrimp. If you don’t have shrimp, you can use any other protein of your choice. Let’s get cooking!

Shrimp Fried Rice

2 cups of leftover white or brown rice
1 pound raw, peeled, and deveined shrimp
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons of oil
½ teaspoon of chili flakes
¼ cup of finely chopped onion
1 garlic clove
4 tablespoons of soy sauce
½ cup carrots chopped in julienne
½ cup peas chopped in julienne
¼ cup chopped scallions cut into fine circles
1 egg

Shrimp Fried Rice

Tip: Use brown rice instead of white for more fiber, protein, and vitamins.

Preheat the Princesa on medium heat Add the oil, hot chili flakes, and stir using the Spoonula. Add the shrimp, let them brown for two or three minutes on each side, then remove them using the Three-Way Tongs from our Kitchen Tool Set.

In the same oil used to brown the shrimp, sauté the onion until translucent. Add the garlic and pepper. Cook stirring for a minute and stir in the the rice. Add soy sauce, carrot, peas, and scallions, and stir again.

Shrimp Fried Rice

Move the rice mixture to one side of the Princesa, beat the egg and pour it on the empty side. When cooked, cut the egg into small squares with the help of the Spoonula. Mix with the rice, and add the shrimp back to the utensil. Stir one last time.

Serve and enjoy your delicious shrimp fried rice and don’t forget the chopsticks!
